Philosophy of Classroom Management

My Philosophy of Classroom Management

The classroom is a very important place for students and teachers. It is a place where learning happens daily. A classroom is an environment that is inviting and where learning takes place at all levels. Learning in a classroom should be centered on hands around hands on activities and engaging to reach all levels of students. The teacher plays the role in the classroom of establishing rules and consequences, creating a safe classroom environment and showing respect to her students. I will encourage and inspire students every day as a daily goal.

A classroom is a wonderful learning place for all students. I believe each child is unique and will be treated equally so all children expect the same rules and consequences. I also believe in appropriate rules and consequences that apply to all students according to the situation. Of course, there will be available alternatives to each consequence if not appropriate for situation.  As the teacher, I will have control over the classroom at all times and by having classroom rules that are fair will help in accomplishing my control in the classroom.

A classroom is an inviting place for all students. I believe that the classroom is a safe and comforting place for students and the teacher. Students are able to walk in the classroom and feel right at home. The classroom is a peaceful environment that every child feels welcome in. A teacher is someone the students can come to for help at any time.  I believe that establishing a classroom schedule that is followed daily will help in creating a safe and comforting environment.

I believe students should be respected at all times if the teacher wants her students to show respect to others.  One must give respect to receive it in return. I feel that giving students the amount of respect that they deserve will help make a classroom a comfortable place where the students are treated respectfully. From the first day of school, I will show respect to my students and give examples of what respect is towards a teacher and to other students.

A classroom is a very important place for many students. The teacher is responsible for helping her students grow and achieve their yearly goals. An excellent way for teachers to be able to achieve a quality learning environment is to implement effective classroom management skills that will work for her students. I believe that as the teacher, I am responsible for my students and their academic success.
