INTASC #4: Intstructional Strategies

INTASC Principle #4: The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage student development of critical thinking, problem-solving and performance skills.

INTASC #4 Interpretation: I understand that I must use a variety of strategies to encourage students to think critically. I understand that my lesson plans must help students think in a critcal way, help them use problem solving skills and work on their performance skills. To help in this goal, I must ask students questions that will have them thinking critically and have to use their problem solving skills to solve the questions. I will encourage students to think critically on a daily basis and always have a way for sutdents to use their problem solving skills.

Artifact Reflection:

The artifact I chose to represent this artifact is a list of classroom reward ideas. I feel that this is a good representation of instructional strategies because it is something the students can work for while doing the work.
