INTASC #3: Diversity/Individual Differences

INTASC Principle #3: The teacher understands how students differ in their approaches to learning and creates instructional opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners

INTASC #3 Interpretation:  I understand that not all students are on the same developmental level. I need to understand where students are at in their learning so that I can make the appropriate accomodations in the lessons that will help challenge them. I need to make my lessons focused on the diverse learner needs in the classroom. I will make accomodations more challenging for students that show they need it. An example of making accomodations for learners would be for students with gifted abilities I would assign another worksheet in the subject.

Artifact Reflection:
I chose this artifact because it is a guideline for setting up a classroom for all learners. This can also be used to focuse on learners with individial differences. For example, if they do better closer to the teacher’s desk then I will move them by desk by still make sure that there is nothing distracting them and that are still able to see the board etc…
