INTASC #2: Human Development
INTASC Principle #2: The teacher understands how children learn and develop, and can provide learning opportunities that support a child’s intellectual, social and personal development.
INTASC #2 Interpretation: I understand as a teacher, that children learn in many different ways. I need to understand these different ways so that as a teacher, I can accomodate these students for their best learning ability. My classroom must be supportive and provide room for change in all areas. The learning atmosphere must be a bit challenging but still have activities that are on the students level.
Artifacts for INTASC #2
The artifacts that I inserted are lesson plans that are for Kindgarten and Kindgarten and up. I decided to insert these lesson plans because they are for a wide range of age groups and can be adapted to fit any child. I think that a lesson plan is one of the best ways to show what Human Development is to me.
